Skincare isn’t one size fits all and our 90 days returns policy gives you peace of mind when trying The Dead Sea Co. products.

We have confidence in our products, and we want you to be really happy with your purchase from The Dead Sea Co.

If you’re not completely happy with the product, there’ll be no hard feelings. Just email us at info@thedeadseaco.com within 90 days of receiving the product for a free exchange or a full refund. Please include your order confirmation number in the subject line so we can find your order easily and process your request promptly.

The refund will automatically be applied to your original method of payment and excludes any delivery charges. Depending on your bank, refunds can take up to 10 working days to appear back in your account. If you have not received your refund after 10 working days of the refund being processed, please get in touch.

Missing items: 

We do everything possible to ship and deliver your products on time and in good condition. We will gladly organise replacements for missing products. To arrange this, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. Please include your order confirmation number in the subject line so we can find your order easily and process your request promptly. 

Returning a gift:
 
If you've received one of The Dead Sea Co. products as a gift, and it's not suitable for any reason, you are eligible to return this product back to us for an exchange or gift card.

To arrange your return, please contact us. To help us to locate the order, please include the name of the person who purchased the gift and their email address (if you know it).

Once you have completed this, details on how to send the products back to us will be emailed to you shortly after.

Please note, refunds can only be made to the original purchaser.

Credit card and order data is encrypted and secure. The platform we are hosted on is Level 1 PCI compliant and uses 256-bit SSL certificated to keep order details secure. You can check that we use technologies that encrypt data during transmission in our URL, which starts with “https” instead of “http,” as the “s” stands for “secure“.

We also encourage you to only shop on sites that take secure payment methods, such as credit cards and PayPal, as they likely give you buyer protection just in case there’s a dispute.

Unfortunately, once your order has been placed it will not be possible to change your delivery option.

At the moment we are not offering a tracking feature on our standard delivery option.

Our next day delivery option includes full tracking with signature on delivery.

If you opt for standard delivery, you should receive your order within 5 working days. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days* and we'll send you an email confirmation once your order is on its way.

If you have opted for next working day delivery, we will send your order the same day as long as it has been placed before 1pm*.

We offer free standard delivery for orders over £20. UK standard delivery is £3 for orders under £20.

The Dead Sea is ten-times saltier than regular sea water and is bursting with 21 natural minerals. Whilst impressive in itself, the secret behind its beauty-boosting and therapeutic powers is actually the unique composition of the salts and minerals. Dead Sea mineral concentrations are 10 to 80 times higher when compared to other seas. The Dead Sea has more calcium, magnesium, potassium, and bromide, and less sodium, sulphate, and carbonate compared to other seas. Unlike any other mud in the world, Dead Sea mud is richly packed with these naturally occurring minerals absorbed from the sea water. These minerals deliver phenomenal benefits from smoothing the skin’s texture to minimising the look of fine lines and wrinkles and they play an essential role in the body’s skin metabolism (cell turnover, collagen production, and repair of skin cells).

We are a cruelty-free brand, meaning no animal testing even by our suppliers.

Our product packaging is recyclable and we use as little packaging as possible to reduce waste. Our mailer boxes are made from at least 90% recycled cardboard and printed with water based ink, our mailer bags are made from natural resin and are 100% biodegradable, our tissue paper and paper stickers are printed with soy ink on FSC certified acid-free paper and our products are protected with recyclable shredded paper made from 80% recycled material.

We are committed to delivering the perfect balance of natural and effective ingredients without compromising on safety. Our products are free from often-harsh preservatives like parabens, phenoxyethanol, petrochemicals, formaldehyde and alcohol denat.

Instead, we use a gentle preservative system; Benzyl alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid and water, at a minimal amount (less than 1%). This is to make sure our skincare products stay effective in different environments and to prevent the growth of bacteria, fungus and mould which can negatively affect your skin or health.

This preservative system is suitable for natural and organic skincare and approved by international certification agencies including Ecocert, Soil Association, ICEA-AIAB, NaTrue, and COSMOS Standard.

Benzyl alcohol: occurs naturally in some fruits (apricots and cranberries) and essential oils (ylang ylang and jasmine) and can be found in a synthetic form. It’s among the least sensitizing preservatives in use.

Dehydroacetic Acid: while the name may sound a little ominous, this is a non-toxic preservative proven to be safe and effective and common in natural products.  

Our products do not contain any drying alcohols such as ‘alcohol denat.’, ‘ethanol’ or ‘ethyl alcohol’ which can often result in drying the skin and irritation.

Our products do contain Benzyl alcohol used in very low levels, as part of a gentle preservative system to make sure that no bacteria, fungus or mould gets into our products and negatively affects your skin or health.

Our skincare products are crafted from pure Dead Sea mud and salt, naturally enriched with powerful minerals and infused with oils and butters from nuts, seeds, and fruits as well as plant extracts.

Whilst we favour natural ingredients, we do not believe that natural equals safe and synthetic equals dangerous and also use non-irritating synthetic ingredients to support the efficacy of our high-performing formulations when necessary.

We use 100% pure, cold pressed oils, with no additives.

When oils are cold-pressed, they are extracted from their source using mechanical methods rather than heat or solvents. The oils undergo very little processing and the nutrients and benefits are better retained.

Many essential oils have been shown to be beneficial to skin however high levels of essential oils have been known to irritate damaged, broken or sensitive skin. It’s therefore a delicate balance!

We use minimal concentrations of skin friendly essential oils in our products.

As with all skincare products, we advise you to do a skin-patch test 48 hours before using a new product. Simply apply as instructed to an inconspicuous area of your skin (like your inner elbow) and observe any reactions. If irritation occurs, do not use the product.

The high concentrations of minerals and salts in the Dead Sea mud and salt may cause your skin to tingle.

Our ingredients are listed on the product pages to help you identify any sensitivities with certain ingredients.

Our Mineral Mud Mask is also free from often-harsh preservatives like parabens, phenoxyethanol, petrochemicals, formaldehyde and alcohol denat. Our Mineral Mud Mask has a shelf-life of three years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date can be found on the bottom of the jar. Once open, use your Mineral Mud Mask within 12 months. To ensure that your mask remains in the best condition, we recommend storing it in a cool, dry area away from direct heat or sunlight. Remember to seal the product between uses.
It’s best to apply your mask with a clean brush or applicator to stop dirt and bacteria from your hands getting into the product.

The Mineral Mud Mask is infused with a blend of nourishing oils and to us, has a marzipan aroma because of the skin-replenishing sweet almond oil. One thing to keep in mind is that we haven’t added anything to mask the natural scent of the Dead Sea mud, which contains sulphur, and some people may find this particular scent quite strong, but we assure you the results are worth it!

Yes, the mask contains Sweet Almond, Pomegranate Seed, and Jojoba oils.

Yes, apply the mask to clean, dry skin otherwise you could be layering your mask onto accumulated dirt and bacteria on your skin.

You only need a thin even layer for the mask to be effective so no need to waste precious product!

You should apply your mask with a clean brush. Not only does it make your masking session feel zen, it stops dirt and bacteria from your hands getting onto your face. It also makes it easier to apply a thin, even layer so you don’t waste precious product.

Gently remove the mask with our konjac sponge or a warm washcloth in circular motions. This will help to exfoliate your skin and cutdown clean-up time as remnants of your mask won’t end up all over your hands and sink.

Leave the mask on for around 10 minutes or until it feels firm on your skin. Remove the mask before it gets 100% dry and starts to crack.

As skin cells are constantly being replaced, dead cells build up and slow the epidermal function (helping to prevent infections on your skin and keeping in water and nutrients for your body to use). The regular use of the Mineral Mud Mask works to draw out pore-clogging dirt and excess sebum and exfoliates dead cells whilst helping to hydrate and soothe skin. We recommend using the mask twice a week.

Yes, the Mineral Mud Mask has high concentrations of minerals and salt which may make your skin tingle. If irritation occurs, remove the mask with warm water immediately.

Our Mineral Mud Mask is suitable for all skin types. If you have extremely sensitive skin, we recommend you check with your GP before using the mask for the first time.

Why the mask is good for oily skin – it deeply purifies and detoxifies the skin by working to draw out pore-clogging impurities including excess sebum. Whilst sebum is vital for keeping the skin healthy, too much sebum can lead to oily skin, clogged pores, and spots and blemishes.

Why the mask is good for dry/dehydrated and combination skin – it deeply cleanses whilst helping to hydrate, soften and soothe skin.

Why the mask is good for mature skin – it cleanses the skin without stripping away the skin’s moisture and enhances the skin’s elasticity and helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Your pores should look noticeably smaller and your skin should feel deeply clean and refreshed with a fresh dewy glow.

As the mask has phenomenal detoxing powers, you may find that it flushes out the spots and pimples that were lurking beneath your skin, making them come to the surface a lot faster. This is temporary and with repeated use, the mask will prevent clogged pores and breakouts unveiling a clearer and calmer complexion. 

During the first trimester, it’s recommended that you avoid all essential oils. The level of Manuka oil in our mask is so minimal that we do not consider it to be a risk but if you have any concerns, please consult your GP first and show them the ingredients list.

The main ingredient in our Mineral Mud Mask is Dead Sea mud. The minerals in Dead Sea mud are known to help combat an array of skin conditions including acne, eczema, rosacea and psoriasis. The mud helps restore moisture and relieve symptoms, soothing dry, rough, irritated skin.

Natural water separation can occur in mostly natural masks, but this does not impact product in any way. If you find your Mineral Mud Mask is watery at the top, drain the excess water and gently stir the mask using your clean applicator brush. Remember to store your mask in a cool, dry area away from direct heat or sunlight and to seal the product between uses.
