INCI name: Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic acid and Aqua (water)

Contains Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic acid and Water.

A gentle preservative system suitable for natural and organic skincare and approved by international certification agencies including Ecocert, Soil Association, ICEA-AIAB, NaTrue, and COSMOS Standard.

We use this preservative system at a minimal amount (less than 1%). This is to makesure our skincare products stay effective in different environments and to prevent the growth of bacteria, fungus and mould which can negatively affect your skin or health.

Benzyl alcohol: occurs naturally in some fruits (apricots and cranberries) and essential oils (ylang ylang and jasmine) and can be found in a synthetic form. It’s among the least sensitizing preservatives in use.

Dehydroacetic Acid: while the name may sound a little ominous, this is a non-toxic preservative proven to be safe and effective and common in natural products.
